American Society for Public Administration's Award for Program Excellence
Hamilton, OH, April 7, 2017 (Newswire.com) - The Hamilton Mill was recognized today by the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA - GCC) for its Pipeline H2O program. The Pipeline H2O program received the award for “Program Excellence” which exemplifies any unit of government (department, agency, division, bureau, office, academic department, etc.) or non-profit organization that has distinguished itself through a program with exceptional productivity, performance, effectiveness or innovation; that has provided highly responsive service to customers; and demonstrated the organization’s value.
The American Society for Public Administration is the largest and most prominent professional association for public administration. It is dedicated to advancing the art, science, teaching and practice of public and non-profit administration. ASPA's four core values are accountability and performance, professionalism, ethics and social equity.

This award is given on an annual basis, and is one of many honors that the ASPA bestows on publically driven initiatives and organizations. The Cincinnati Chapter of the ASPA recognized the winners at an awards banquet on Friday, April 7.
The Pipeline H2O program was launched in September 2016 with a mission of identifying and commercializing the world’s leading water-based startup technologies in the world. Pipeline H2O is managed by The Hamilton Mill, a small business incubator located in Hamilton, Ohio that focuses on clean energy and advanced manufacturing technologies. The Hamilton Mill has a unique “City as a Lab” approach which enables companies to quickly engage with municipal departments to prototype and test their products.
The program is supported by a coalition of regional cities, utilities, universities, and startup organizations including Village Capital, United States Environmental Protection Agency, Cincinnati Water Works, Confluence, the University of Cincinnati’s water center, Xavier University’s Center for Innovation, the City of Cincinnati, the City of Hamilton, Cintrifuse and The Hamilton Mill.

In January 2017 the first Pipeline H2O class was announced and the cohort has been engaged in program workshops since February with the conclusion being “Demonstration Day” on May 18.
